Watching it live was a dream come true for me as I'd only ever seen it on DVD. Visually stunning. Every aspect was just so beautiful and almost overwhelmingly so. The live orchestra, the scenes, the choreography, the dancers, the dancing...uh! It was everything I needed it to be and beyond. Such a wonderful experience to have shared with dear friends. Brandon Randolph showed technical prowess as the housekeeper/nurse and was also so comically expressive, as was Lesley Garrison as Louise/Princess Pirlipat. Loved this production.Jeff Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06679914534384513901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1658202452707400073.post-59513536664480365592018-12-17T09:46:46.401-05:002018-12-17T09:46:46.401-05:00Absolutely loved the performance, and Kraig Patter...Absolutely loved the performance, and Kraig Patterson as the maid is a delight in acting, and amazing in dancing (he's on pointe for half his dances). Also the Snowflakes dance is beautiful, funny, poetic and great ensemble dancing, and the highlight for me.

After the Snowflakes dance the performance fizzles out a bit but it's still great ballet dancing and funny. Bring your kids! I always see new things (realize how the party scene is like all parties--one goes from one group to another, and though as an audience person I can see everything, there's too much to take it all in at once). I'll never not be nearly overcome by the snow scene and the duets--between Drosselmayer and the Prince, between Marie and the Prince. And love Marie's growing up from a child with gumption to a young woman in love. Oh, heaven.Jane Levy Troyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14840806864543601062noreply@blogger.com
