From the Astrology Dept: Today’s Mystical Number: 37

Today, April 23, 2013, is a significant day, dear readers.

Today is the 37th anniversary of the birth of Aaron and Bryce Dessner, the curators of Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, which opens Thursday in the Peter Jay Sharp building and runs through Saturday.

Do you know how many acts are participating in CBF? 37!

Today also happens to be the 397th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. He just happens to be the author of Julius Caesar, which is currently being performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company in the Harvey through April 28.

Though it feels more like November than April in New York (it is 42ºF as the BAMystic writes this, but Weather.com tells him it feels like 37ºF and he agrees), today is indeed an auspicious day.

The Sun has just passed into Taurus, and both Venus and Mars are transiting through earthy Taurus as well. With today’s moon, which is in balanced Libra, combined with the fiery energy of Aries in Mercury, today will most assuredly offer us all a great deal of focus, drive, and spontaneous creativity. I hope that you are taking advantage of these unique energies and doing good things today, dear readers!

Oh, and are you still wondering about the significance of the number 37? Maybe this will help:
